Authorities Say Masvingo On Course To Attain Gross Domestic Product Of $5,2 Billion.

Authorities in Masvingo say the Province is on course to improve its Gross domestic product with a number of development projects up and running in districts around the province.

Speaking recently the Minister of State for Masvingo Province Honourable Ezra Chadzamira said they have been notable expansions at the sugarcane fields in Chiredzi and at the projects at Tugwi-Mukosi dam.

The Tugwi-Mukosi Dam is Zimbabwe’s largest inland lake, with a height of 90m and a storage capacity of 1.8 billion cubic metres of water. It is designed as a rock fill dam with an upstream concrete face, making it the firstt of its type in Zimbabwe.

Masvingo province is targeting attain a Gross Domestic Product of $5,2 billion by the year 2030.
