A six-year-old Zvishavane boy who was earlier reported missing was yesterday found dead, dumped in a sack near Lot 4 suburb in the mining town.
In an interview with Great Dyke News 24, in Zvishavane Chief Superintendent Albert Ncube of the ZRP confirmed the unfortunate incident.
Chief Superintendent Ncube said the child left home on the 21st of October going to school but when his mother came back from work, he was not at home and she could not locate him adding the following day she reported the matter to the police and who opened an investigation on his whereabouts.
His body was discovered by a man who was coming from Masunda village after he noticed a weird sack dumped on the roadside which he reported to the police. On arrival at the scene, the police retrieved the dead body of the boy from the sack
Chief Superintendent Ncube urged parents within the Great Dyke to escort their children to school to prevent such cases.
Elohim Ziwandza aged six was a Grade One student at Makwasha Primary School.
