The number of cases worldwide is now at 2,921,556, and 90,722 new cases recorded yesterday.
New cases in South Africa were 141 to being the total number of cases to 4,361 and 7 new deaths were recorded to bring the total number of deaths to 86.
Zimbabwe recorded 2 new cases to bring the total number of cases to 31 and the death toll remains unchanged.
Eswatini recorded 20 new cases, the highest since they began testing and to date they have 56 cases of the pandemic.
SA: Lockdown curfew from 20:00 to 05:00 starting on 1 May
As of 1 May, a national curfew from 20:00 to 05:00 will be in place and it will be applicable to everyone except essential workers traveling to and from work.
The country is expected to move from a Level 5 to a Level 4 lockdown, allowing limited economic activity but keeping most existing measures in place.
