There were mixed fortunes for Zimbabwean Players in the Zambian Super League this past weekend (Week 17).

Seven games were played over the weekend, and Six Zimbabwean players featured for their clubs. All together there were four clubs featuring Zimbabwean players.

  1. Former Caps United Player Dennis Dauda captained his Zambian side Lusaka Dynamos in the two nil away win over Nakambala Leopards.

Lusaka Dynamos is home to 3 Zimbabwean players Dennis Dauda, Ocean Mushure and left-back Zimiselani Moyo. However, Ocean Mushure did not make it into the matchday squad as he was serving a suspension.

Dauda and Zimselani put in a good show though Moyo received a yellow card in the 67th minute for tagging the shirt of Nakambala Leopards’ winger Felix Bulaya who had left him for dead with some blistering pace.

This win was Lusaka Dynamos 6th win of the season and the victory took them to 10th position with 22 points.

  1. Gilroy Takudzwa Chimwemwe was named in the Buildcon first 11 for the second consecutive game while Joel Ngodzo was part of the starting eleven after he came on as a substitute in week 16.

The two players put a shift in and helped Buildcon FC earn a point in the one-all draw against police sponsored side Nkwazi Football Club. Former Ngezi Platinum striker Donald Teguru spent 90 minutes warming up the bench.

Unfortunately, the one all draw at home moved Buildcon from 10th position on the log table to 11th position with 21 points.
