Social media went ablaze yesterday over the story published by Great Dyke News 24 of a 19-year-old Bulawayo man who was arrested by the Zimbabwe Republic Police for theft and tempering with ZESA installations.
Great Dyke News 24 established that the accused was caught red-handed charging 2 laptops from a ZESA power line where he had connected an adapter directly to the power line.
The issue has triggered mixed feelings with some hailing the 19-year-old as a hero who should be employed by the Zimbabwe Electricity Distribution Company (ZETDC).
Below are the reactions to the issue.
