The government has suspended the construction of the 47 km stretch of road between Chivi and Mhandamabwe Turnoff due to resource constraints.
Masvingo Provincial Affairs Minister Ezra Chadzamira confirmed the move to Great Dyke News 24 saying the work stoppage is just temporary hence the construction company will resume work soon.
The tender for the construction of the road was awarded to renowned civil engineers Bitumen World (Pvt) Ltd, a company that has of late worked on a number of road projects in the country.
