Local businesswoman, Mrs. Slyvia Choruwa also known as Mai Isheanopa, made a generous donation to the local choral band, Tariro ye denga. This donation was part of a fundraising event held at the Methodist Church, aimed at raising USD 5000 for various needs of the band.
The funds raised during the event will be used to purchase a PA system for the band’s performances, cover travel expenses, aid in the recording of an album, and provide uniforms for the band members. Mai Isheanopa also went beyond financial support and donated clothes and shoes to Dr. Beco, a visually impaired artist who was present at the event.
During her speech, Mai Isheanopa emphasized that giving is not solely reserved for the wealthy. She encouraged everyone to learn to give, even if it’s just a small contribution, as it can make a significant impact in supporting community members in need.
