Namibia Blocks Vessel Suspected of Carrying Military Cargo for Israel.

Namibia has blocked the MV Kathrin, a vessel suspected of carrying explosives destined for Israel, from docking at Walvis Bay. 

Namibian Justice Minister Yvonne Dausab confirmed the ship was stopped in line with the country’s stance against supporting Israeli actions in Gaza. Human rights groups praised the decision, warning that allowing the ship to dock could have implicated Namibia in potential human rights violations. 

Namport has pledged to ensure the safety and security of Namibian waters while upholding the nation’s international obligations.
