Police in Harare are investigating a case of infanticide after the body of a newborn baby boy was discovered floating in Prince Edward Dam, Charingwati Village, Seke, on February 28, 2025.
According to the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP), the body was wrapped in a white cloth and placed inside a bag before being dumped in the water. Authorities retrieved the remains and have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Police have urged anyone with information to report to their nearest police station. Investigations are ongoing.
