ZRP’s Swift Action Leads to Arrest: Unlicensed Firearms Seized in Dramatic Binga Operation

In a significant breakthrough, the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has confirmed the apprehension of Madodana Muleya (22) in connection with a case involving the possession of unlicensed firearms. The incident took place on August 8th, 2023.
Acting upon credible information, detectives swiftly sprang into action, tracking down the suspect at a bar located in Manjolo Business Centre, Binga. The police conducted searches that yielded critical evidence. Among the seized items were a Blow f92 9-millimeter firearm equipped with a loaded magazine, alongside three rounds. Additionally, an EKOL FIRAT Compact 9mm firearm was discovered, complete with a magazine containing seven rounds. The inventory also encompassed nine loose rounds, two 110ml teargas injectors, a pair of handcuffs, and an improvised sjambok, ingeniously crafted from an electric cable.
These items were concealed within the suspect’s satchel, distinguishably black and brown.
