Traffic Safety Council Urges Responsible Driving Ahead of Heroes Day and Defence Forces Day

As the nation anticipates the observance of Heroes Day and Defence Forces Day, the Traffic Safety Council of Zimbabwe is taking proactive steps to ensure road safety during the upcoming holidays. With a focus on preventing accidents and promoting responsible driving, the Council is calling on motorists to adhere to road regulations.
Lucy Kuwandira, Media and Corporate Communications Officer at the Traffic Safety Council of Zimbabwe, emphasized the critical role that drivers play in safeguarding lives on the road.
In an interview with the Great Dyke News, Kuwandira underlined the significance of adhering to road rules and maintaining accident-free travel during the holiday period.
With the celebrations approaching, Kuwandira stressed the importance of responsible driving behavior, cautioning against over-speeding as individuals’ journey to various destinations in commemoration of Heroes Day and Defence Forces Day.
Kuwandira further advised holiday travelers to carry their identification cards for easy identification during emergencies, while also encouraging the use of public transport to mitigate incidents of robbery during this festive period.
