Five Arrested for Brutal Murder in Zhombe Over Cattle Theft Accusation.

Zhombe police have arrested five men in connection with the murder of Jabulani Gwada (41) in Makwezi Village, Malisa, on September 10, 2024. The suspects, identified as Silvester Jinja (38), Takunda Mbano (37), Christopher Sithole (53), Mlamuli Ndebele (33), and Isaac Maphosa (47), allegedly assaulted Gwada after accusing him of stealing cattle belonging to Jinja.


According to a statement by the Zimbabwe Republic Police, the group took turns attacking the victim with machetes, sjamboks, sticks, axes, fists, and booted feet. Gwada was rushed to a local hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.


Authorities are continuing investigations into the incident.
