Zambia’s Constitutional Court Bars Edgar Lungu from 2026 Presidential Election.

Zambia’s former president, Edgar Lungu, has been disqualified from contesting the 2026 presidential election following a landmark ruling by the Constitutional Court.


The court determined that Lungu has already served two terms as president, having succeeded the late Michael Sata in 2015.
