Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) Acting President, Professor Welshman Ncube, has suspended Sengezo Tshabangu with immediate effect. The decision, as announced in a media statement issued by Presidential Spokesperson Mr. Kuraone Chihwayi, is rooted in allegations that Tshabangu acted in violation of the party’s constitution.
The statement highlights that the suspension is in accordance with Article 9.1.2.3 of the CCC Constitution. It describes Tshabangu’s actions as being in contravention of the party’s guiding principles and rules.
Tshabangu now faces a disciplinary hearing to address the accusations. According to the CCC, the hearing will follow the party’s internal procedures to ensure due process is upheld.
