Political analysts are pointing to the recently concluded harmonized elections as a reflection of Zimbabwe’s economic conditions, particularly evident in the voting patterns across the country’s agricultural regions. These regions overwhelmingly supported the incumbent, now President-elect, attributing their allegiance to the notable achievements in the agricultural sector, bolstered by governmental backing.
Speaking on Sunday, Mr. Munyaradzi Hwengwere, a Communications Consultant and Chairman of Buy Zimbabwe, highlighted that constituencies centered around agriculture, such as Mashonaland, along with areas benefiting from significant infrastructure advancements like Masvingo, demonstrated their endorsement of Zanu PF and President Mnangagwa.
