There are 3,646,211 cases of the Covid-19 pandemic. 79,582 cases were recorded yesterday and a total of 4,096 new deaths were recorded to bring the total death toll to 1,200,170.
South Africa’s cases increased by 437 to bring the total number to 7,220; seven (7) new deaths were recorded ad the death toll now stands at 138.
13 new cases were recorded in Zambia to make the number of Covid-19 cases to be 137 and 78 reported to have recovered.
Eswatini has continued to witness increase in the number of new cases, 4 new cases were recorded to bring the total number of cases to 116, with only one death recorded and 12 recoveries.
Cases in Botswana and Zimbabwe remain unchanged at 23 and34.
Chicago develops a new Covid-19 device which tracks symptoms.
A new device developed in Chicago can track symptoms of coronavirus. The device senses the nature, duration and time of coughs, checking for the onset and progression of Covid-19. It looks like a Band-Aid but it has a flexible wire-less sensor that sits where your throat and chest meet, picking up coughing and breathing problems associated with Covid-19. The device can monitor early signs of coronavirus infection and the progression of the illness. The device adhered to the skin below one’s suprasternal notch. The patch also detects heart rate and temperature
