Government has outlined a comprehensive five-pillar strategy for health workforce development.
Speaking at a post cabinet briefing Information minister, Dr Jenfan Muswere said key goals include increasing training outputs from 3,334 in 2022 to 7,000 by 2030, reducing health worker attrition, and increasing per capita investment in health from USD $9 to USD $32.
He added that the strategy emphasizes ICT integration, research, retention management, and the professionalization of community health workers.
