Health Ministry Clears Air On Junior Doctors Conscription.

The Health and Child Care ministry has dismissed reports claiming that government will force doctors to join the military.

Dr Mangwiro’s remarks follow a circular recently making the rounds on social media platforms directing recently-qualified doctors to enrol as soldiers under the defence ministry if they are to be allowed to practise anywhere in Zimbabwe.

The circular, purportedly prepared by the Health Service Board, had irked doctors and the general public who felt that it was tantamount to militarising the health sector.
