At least 10 Indian flights have been hit with hoax bomb threats in the past 48 hours, causing delays and diversions. On Tuesday, Singapore’s Air Force escorted an Air India Express flight to Changi Airport following a threat, while an Air India flight from Delhi to Chicago was diverted to Canada’s Iqaluit Airport for precautionary checks.

Authorities detained a teenager linked to Monday’s threats posted on X (formerly Twitter), which affected three international flights from Mumbai. On Tuesday, seven more flights, including the two Air India flights, were disrupted by posts from another suspended X account.

Air India, along with IndiGo, SpiceJet, and Akasa Air, was targeted and said it is working with authorities to trace those responsible, warning of legal action to recover losses. Security protocols at Indian airports have been intensified, with flights undergoing inspections by bomb squads and emergency teams.

The disruptions have also triggered responses from international authorities in Singapore and Canada, where investigations are ongoing.
