The Zimbabwe Republic Police has issued a stern warning regarding the concealment of a child’s birth, emphasizing the gravity of this offense and its associated custodial sentence. This caution comes in light of an ongoing investigation initiated by the ZRP Midlands province, following an incident of alleged concealment of birth that took place at Midlands Hotel on November 16, 2023, around 12:00 PM.
Speaking to Great Dyke News Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko, the ZRP Midlands spokesperson said the discovery unfolded when a security personnel conducting perimeter checks at Midlands Hotel found a recently discarded fetus. The fetus appeared to have been thrown from a room within the hotel premises.
