Teachers are expressing concern over the delayed payments for examiners involved in the 2024 examinations. The Progressive Teachers Union of Zimbabwe (PTUZ), through its Secretary-General Raymond Majongwe, has criticized the delay, calling it a lesson for future examiners.
In an interview Majongwe highlighted the financial strain on educators due to this delay.
Tafadzwa Munodawafa President of the Educators’ Union of Zimbabwe , also weighed in on the matter, expressing frustration over the ongoing issue.
ZIMSEC’s Public Relations Manager Nicky Dhlamini, confirmed that while the payments for the US$ component of the examiners’ dues have been processed, the remainder of the payments are still pending.
