Jameson Timba, the leader of a splinter faction within the Citizen’s Coalition for Change (CCC), conveyed optimism regarding an anticipated favorable judgement from the Supreme Court. The case in question involves recalled Members of Parliament (MPs) and Councillors challenging the legitimacy of the recalls initiated by Sengezo Tshabangu.
Addressing the media outside the court, Timba, who assumed the role of Interim Leader following Nelson Chamisa’s resignation, asserted that the recalled members remain integral to the party, emphasizing the alleged illegality of the recalls. Despite by-elections having already taken place to fill the vacancies left by the recalled members, Timba contends that a positive ruling from the Supreme Court would still be applicable.
