The Ministry of Energy and Power Development announced the near-completion of several renewable energy projects.
Speaking at a post cabinet media briefing Media, Information and broadcasting services minister Dr Jenfan Muswere said the Chitulipasi Community Solar Project is 95% complete, while the Muchabi Grid Project and Matsetsa Project are both 99% complete. Additionally, the Great Zimbabwe Hydropower Station is at 90% completion, promising increased energy capacity.
The Ministry of Energy and Power Development has announced the near-completion of several renewable energy projects as the country pushes forward with its clean energy transition. During a post-Cabinet media briefing, the Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Dr. Jenfan Muswere, highlighted the progress made on various initiatives.
Among the projects nearing completion are the Chitulipasi Community Solar Project, now 95% complete, and both the Muchabi Grid and Matsetsa projects, which have reached 99% completion. The Great Zimbabwe Hydropower Station is also in its final stages, with 90% of the work completed. These projects are expected to significantly boost Zimbabwe’s energy capacity.
