“Following on the success of the inaugural edition in 2022, where over 3,000 festival-goers revelled in performances by some of Zimbabwe’s top artists alongside the still-emerging talent of the area, this year the festival has grown to another level with something for everyone.

“The 2023 programme features a new lineup of exciting artists, of which some are considered national treasures.

“Gracing the stage will be the legendary acapella group Black Umfolosi, all the way from the City of Kings, Bulawayo, who grew from humble beginnings as group of young high school boys to a world-class act touring over several decades in mutliple performances and reappearances in many countries of the world.

“Also featured are the ever popular Sulu Chimbetu & The Orchestra Dendera Kings, Sarungano & The Story Tellers, The Expression Band, and 20 young artists of diverse genres,” said Nhimbe Trust.

The theme of the 2023 NAF edition is We are #LivingHeritage, which is the theme for the 20th Anniversary of the 2003 UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
