Resident Representatives have emphasized the critical need for government support in flood-prone zones like Kuwadzana, Budiriro, Woodlands Park and others around the country. They say these areas are particularly vulnerable to flooding, a predicament exacerbated by unscrupulous land sales.

Precious Shumba, President of the Harare Residents Trust highlighted the unsettling reality that many residents purchased properties in these regions unaware of the inherent risk, as sellers with malicious intent capitalized on their ignorance.

These vulnerable locales, susceptible to flooding during heavy rainfall, demand urgent governmental intervention to alleviate the plight of affected residents.
