Six candidates have filed their papers for the presidential election to be held on the 23rd of August 2023.
Among the candidates are several prominent figures from major political parties including the ruling party’s incumbent President as well as candidates from opposition parties. In addition, there is one independent candidate who has thrown his hat in the ring .
Below is the list of candidates;
Emmerson Mnangagwa of Zanu PF
Douglas Mwonzora of MDC-T
Lovemore Madhuku of NCA
Nelson Chamisa of CCC
Saviour Kasukuwere an Independent candidate
Trust Chikohora of Zimbabwe Coalition for Peace and Development
Linda Masarira of LEAD submitted her papers but was short of ZWL 38 million dollars.
