The late broadcaster Zororo Makamba did not visit Zvishavane last week, as alleged by some social media posts, Great Dyke News 24 can reveal.
Makamba also did not address students at the Midlands State University, as alleged on social media.
Great Dyke News 24 established through inquiries with authorities at MSU that the university does not have a Media and Society studies class in Zvishavane.
Impeccable sources also indicated that Makamba only came in contact with a Zvishavane Mine employee at a nightclub in Harare.
According to the sources the encounter which lasted for not more than 30 seconds was in the form of a fist bump greeting. The employee has since tested negative for COVID-19.
Makamba is the first Zimbabwean to succumb to Covid-19.
He died on Monday and was buried yesterday.
