There are 7,872,620 cases of the Coronavirus pandemic as 132, 786 new cases were recorded yesterday. The current death toll worldwide is 432, 475 as 4,229 new deaths were recorded.
USA had the highest number of new cases recorded yesterday as 25, 302 cases were recorded.
Brazil recorded a decline from 24,253 cases on the 12th of Juneto 20,894 yesterday. They also recorded the highest number of deaths with 890 fatalities recorded.
India recorded 12,023 new cases in the past 24 hours, its largest single-day spike to date, according to the country’s health ministry. In total, India has reported 321,626 Covid-19 cases, including 9,199 deaths.
China reported 57 new confirmed and nine asymptomatic COVID-19 cases, for June 13, the highest since April 13, according to data released by the national health authority.
There were 3,809 new cases recorded yesterday in South Africa and the total number of cases is now at 6,736. The death is now at 1,423 after 69 deaths were recorded.
Egypt’s Health Ministry has announced 1,677 new confirmed cases of coronavirus the highest 24-hour infection total since the virus was first detected in the country in mid-February.
Botswana recorded its highest new cases since the beginning of the pandemic in the country.
The Presidential Taskforce announced a lockdown in Greater Gaborone from Friday the 12thof June where movement into Greater Gaborone will only permitted to those with a valid permit. No movement out of Greater Gaborone is allowed until further notice.

Pharma giant stikes deal with Europe for vaccine supply.
Pharma giant AstraZeneca has struck a deal with Europe’s Inclusive Vaccines Alliance to supply up to 400 million doses of an experimental COVID-19 vaccine, AP news agency reported.
The alliance forged by Germany, France, Italy and the Netherlands is set to take delivery by the end of 2020 of a vaccine being tested by the University of Oxford.
The agreement struck Saturday aims to make the vaccine available to other European countries that wish to take part. The cost is expected to be offset by funding from the governments. Aljazeera
